About Organic Clementine
Clementines are a variety of mandarin orange, Clementines separate easily into seven to fourteen moderately-juicy segments. They are very easy to peel, like a tangerine, but are almost always seedless. Clementines are, thus, also known as seedless tangerines. They are typically juicy and sweet, with less acid than oranges.
A Clementine contains 36 mg of vitamin C. For a child up to 8 years of age, with an RDA of 15 to 25 mg of vitamin C, that would fulfil the recommended daily requirement. For a child 9 years of age through 18, with an RDA of 45 to 75 mg, two clementines would satisfy the body's needs, and provide over two-thirds of an adult's needs. One Clementine contains roughly 131 mg of potassium and 22 mg of calcium, they are around 35 calories and a great addition to the larder!
