Linseed provides short-chain omega 3 fatty acids including linoleic acid and alpha linolenic acid, both of which are needed by the body and must be obtained through the diet. Linseed contains over 50% omega 3. Because it's plant based, it's a great vegetarian and vegan source of omega 3. Omega 3 has many benefits in the body including helping to support a healthy nervous and cardiovascular system as well as supporting healthy joints, skin, hair and nails. Linseeds contain high levels of dietary fibre as well as lignans and an abundance of micronutrients.
